Back to Life...

Not an awful lot to report. Spent yesterday chatting to people about my exciting weekend, and phoned Lowestoft several times to see how things are going there. Tracy is coping brilliantly with the new bubba - breast feeding successfully, and little Oscar has been a dream. He seems to be still bringing up some of the prawn dhansak that Tracy ate on Saturday night (heh), and he doesn't look too happy about it, so I guess she has put him off curry for life! Rather than feeding on demand, Tracy is getting straight into the 3 hourly feed routine... so we will see how that goes! Mum is staying overnight with her at the moment (Sam has been dismissed, much to his despair/disbelief). I really hope that she can continue without his insincere attempts at playing 'the family man'.

Henry has been really funny since the birth. He has christened little Oscar "Gor(e?)", and wants to know "why he hasn't got any teeth?", "why does he only drink milk?", and most importantly, "why won't he play with me?". I bought him a T-shirt with the slogan; "I'm the Big Brother" which he refused to put on at first yesterday, as he didn't *want* to be a big brother. It seems though that later in the day he was happy to take on his new role, and even wanted a cuddle last night. It must be quite a transition; to go from being the centre of attention, to playing a supporting role... I can't remember the experience myself, but am sure that I found it quite difficult myself (although Mum assures me that I was perfectly happy with my new sister, and helped out quite a bit). It seems that I won't be seeing them until Sunday, so will look forward to seeing how much Oscar has changed and how Tracy is shaping up.

Last night Mark and I didn't do alot; munched veggie hot dogs and home-grown sweetcorn in the garden (was really mild!). He seemed a bit preoccupied, but has got alot of work to do today on the plot in the garden. He is digging lots of trenches for the drainage, and connecting it all up with Noel's help. It means that we have no running water or toilets today, which could prove interesting!

I am going running twice today; lunch time run around the lake with a couple of the guys here, and then tonight with Emma. Looking forward to catching up with her, and having our after-run dinner, which is always nice. Hoping to catch up with Robert and Emma together tomorrow night; hopefully going to a beer festival with Mark too! yay!

Better get on with work... busy on projects at the moment, and have to get them done before holiday!

Much love
