Gonna Take your Mamma Out All Night...

Well, for the evening anyhow...

Today is Suzy's (Mark's Mum's) birthday, so a big happy birthday to her. Am sure that what she wants most for her birthday is for Caroline to give her a new grandchild today; that would be lovely. However, these things rarely come to order! Mark, Suzy and I are going for dinner tonight (John is watching football!!!!) at a gorgeous 'gastropub' nearby. am really looking forward to it, as I enjoy Suzy's company, and the food there is absolutely delicious.

Running at lunch again today, weather permitting... although after a misty/rainy start, its starting to look quite promising.

Not much else to report! Mark and I stayed in last night and ate an enormous tuna nicoise salad I made, and I was so pooped I actually went to bed at 9:30. Mark has made an early start today, and is pouring the footings for the kitchen extension. He is precariously balancing the cement mixer over the side of the 6ft+ trench on a pile of little wooden blocks and boards, so am fully expecting to go home at lunch and find a pair of little feet sticking up out of the concrete (and I don't mean Mia's). I suppose though that it would be a fitting way for Mark to go (much like Steve Irwin's demise); "he who lives for the trench, dies in the trench"... if that isn't a 'saying' then it should be ;-)

Much work to do...
