Again...

...not a particularly eventful evening last night. Went to netball, which has turned out to be something I really enjoy! Have always touted myself as a non-competitive person, who is a bit crap at team sports... however, I have found that I do have a competitive streak after all, although I am still crap... heh (not an ideal combination!). We do about 45 minutes of 'training', which is pretty hardcore actually, and a 45 minute game of 5-a-side-netball... am actually sad to be missing some when am on holiday!

After netball, and a short run home, I made a pretty interesting dinner, which turned out to be rather nice (was a big hit with his lordship!). Pearl barley and prawns? Which sounds really disgusting, but was really easy to make and really tasty! Had all manner of insipid and scary sounding ingredients, including pearl barley, prawns (quelle surprise!), quark (??), parsley, onions and stock... kind of a risotto? Anyway... for me this was also the SECOND night without booze! Can I make it a lucky three in a row? hmmm...

Tonight we are going to see Ryan Adams play in Cambridge... really looking forward to that! Is gonna be a bit of a rush as Mark is working today, but should be good... note the name Ryan, who is not under any circumstances to be confused with Bryan!!!! :-\ Check out the Cardinals radio on his website... they have all his albums there. "Love is Hell" and "Heartbreaker" albums are very good indeedie.

Anyway... better finish off some work I have to get done. Tomorrow am in London (boo), but am meeting up with Ricki for drinks/dinner in London in the evening (yay) and having lunch with John, so that makes up for having to get out of bed so early.
