Anybody would think...

I have been busy at work or something? And you would be right... fully up to my eyeballs and no time to blog! Can this be true?! Sadly, yes....

Had a nice couple of weeks since we came back off holiday - although not seen an awful lot of Mark, which is always a bad thing (so is a good job that our camping trip to Cornwall is pending!). Been uber uber busy at work and at home - lots of trips to Lowestoft, and netball games etc... I appear to have broken (or badly sprained) my finger in our last match (we won 21-4 though!), which has put me out of action for a couple of weeks on that front. It does give me time to gear myself up for the Race for Life, which is in just 2 or 3 weeks time! Here is the link if you feel the urgent desire to sponsor me.... ahem.

Last weekend was rather nice - I had Arpi and John from the London office come to visit, along with John's partner Rich... we had a really nice day exploring Cambridge (including a punting tour, during which we got heavily rained on!), and an absolutely amazing meal at Bruno's Brasserie - why haven't I been there before??!!!!!!!!

Not alot else is going on, other than work work work really... Last night we did have a rather amusing excursion in the canoes in the river. It was my first time in a 'one man' canoe, so to speak - and a) I had trouble wedging my rather ample bottom into it, and b) I couldn't steer the darn thing for toffee! However, when fork lightening started, I amazingly manged to paddle at Olympic speeds across the river to the bank... I don't think you will be seeing me in the Olympic Canoing team (is there one?) - not in 2012 at least! ;-)

Anyway... had better get on. Will try to upload my piccies of the Outer Hebrides before I take even more in Cornwall!

Take care
Love

Uist, Lewis and Harris

Well... did you miss me? (don't answer that!)...

I have been away for ten glorious days island hopping (and camping) around The Outer Hebrides (Oban, South Uist, North Uist, Harris, Lewis and then back to Ullapool). What a glorious corner of the UK that is! I can't say I particularly enjoyed the ten hour drive to the ferries and back, but it was more than worth it. I even have a tiny bit of a tan (although that will probably wash off with a bar of soap)... have come back feeling very relaxed. Before I went away I also had Sofie and her Mum (Susanne) satying with us a couple of days - was lovely to see them both, and we had a nice night out at The Phoenix in the village. Thank you Sofie for all the little gifts you left me! I hope you enjoyed the Lilt and Hula Hoops! ;-)

I have LOTS of work to do today, and will bore you senseless with photos and a big write up as soon as I get a chance. This is just a "hello" heads up, and to pass on my congratulations on all the new little girls that have been born in my absence;

  • Congrats to Adele and Jamie on the birth of little Ella - so sorry to hear that you haven't been well Adele, but am sure you are in very capable hands with Jamie on call!!! Can't wait to have a cuddle... the photos are absolutely beautiful - she looks like a little darling.
  • Congrats to Nerida and Miles on the birth of little Tessa May - looking forward to seeing some piccies!
  • Also... congrats to Janine's friend Lucy and her husband, Mark, on the birth of little Annabella (Janine please pass this on). The pictures are gorgeous, and I must say Lucy that you look stunning after the birth!....

Ronan - I also wish you well with your op - hope you are not being pumped with TOO many drugs right now, and that they didn't do the 'face and finger shortening' procedure in the end! ;-)

Anyway... GOT so much to do
Lots of love to you all,
Hayls
