Well, I fell off the wagon in pretty impressive style last night! For some reason, Ricki and I decided that for dietary reasons it would be a good idea to skip dinner, and drink several large glasses of red wine instead. On leaving the pub (at a modest 8:45), it was rather like getting slammed on the head with a sledgehammer! How does your brain trick you into feeling ok one minute... dum de dum, nothing going on here.... and then totally NOT the next?! urrrgghhhh.... Anyway, despite the apparently never-ending journey home, and the hangover today, we had a good night!

Ryan Adams on Wednesday night was absolutely fantastic - so much so, that I paid some grebo an extortionate amount of money for a rip-off t-shirt outside the venue. Ryan looked a lot messier than I was expecting, but his voice was amazing... huge range of styles in his set (some very White Stripes kinda stuff). Mark described him as a mid-west Nick Cave... We had a really good night, and I was actually good and didn't drink (I drove).

Anyway... work to do, and a headache to soothe!
