I was actually really enjoying writing this blog (as a record to myself, and to save me writing lots of emails to friends I never have time to keep in as much contact with as I would like) until I realised that some very sad git was reading it daily (some people should REALLY get a life, and move on!!). I have a tracker that gives me a fair idea of the readership...
Anyway, have decided not to let them win, and for the time being have taken off password protection. I will see if I can stomach that for long!
Anyway... enough of the rant and back to my idiotic ramblings... ;-) Not alot to report in the last few days - Mark took me out for a gorgeous schezuan meal for our anniversary at the start of the week, and I went to see his sister's baby (Emily) for a cuddle on the weekend. She is a very gorgeous pixie faced little darling! Caroline looks really well, and Katie seems to be coping with her sisterhood a little better than Henry (as she is totally entranced with the baby, whereas Henry is verging on indifference); she made me laugh so much though when she asked me if I was "excited" at the prospect of watching her help her Daddy change the baby's nappy! Of course, I was filled with anticipation ;-)
I joined a netball team last night!??!!!! Mark's sister-in-law bullied me into going (heh), and I actually quite enjoyed it! I forgot though that there are a scary number of rules involved, and ended up fowling several opponents!!! I may not be allowed to play next week I reckon... Also did my usual run at lunch yesterday. I would like to say that the runs are becoming easier, but am afraid they are not! If anything I am getting more and more knackered out by them!
The actual brickwork started on the garage at the weekend, and looks fab... I was chief coffee maker for the motley crew that turned up to do it... all very nice chaps, but for some reason I turn into a tongue-tied twit in the face of a group of workmen. I wonder what a group of them is called... "a murder of workmen", a "gaggle of...", a "whiff off...". Mark is laying the kitchen foundations today, which should make a huge difference to the garden (and the large pit outside the backdoor, which I fear falling into on a sleepwalking expedition!).
Must get on with my work - lots to do!
