Well it seems that Jarvis does not like to be upstaged by new members to the family. My little Fiat (Jarvis) almost made Henry's entrance to the world some three years ago even more memorable by facilitating my 'almost' departure from it... having visited Tracy in hospital on the day of Henry's birth, Jarvis's brakes failed as I appraoched a roundabout at some speed.... (obviously by attributing him a name and evil personality, I divert attention from the fact that it was due to my complete and utter neglect that the brake pads had worn through; in fact I had even turned up the radio to block out the squealing sound for several months...). However, today he has surpassed himself by failing his MOT (naughty boy), and so now my car is not available for the weekend dash to Tracy's bedside. Looks like I will have to drive Mark's scary fast car, or start running now... I may make it by wednesday or thursday... next month.
Plans for weekend are nil, mainly due to Tracy. Can't go to stay in Lowestoft on the off chance really as Tracy and Henry have their beds booked at my parents, and as much as I love Tracy I am not sharing a 3/4 size bed with her in her current condition... 3 in a bed was never my thing ;-)
Alternatives this weekend are to paint the garden fence (sigh), or ironing (really big sigh)... so it looks like it could be a VERY exciting weekend or a VERY boring one! I can't even have a drink for fear of having to jump in the car - this is a serious infringement, and most inconsiderate of Tracy... heh. She has no idea how much I have suffered (cue violins).
Anyway... better do my last few bits of work before the weekend. Happy birthday to Lisa again, who I am sure is 21 again today... ;-)
