Well... not sure what sort of friendship she has in mind. Perhaps we could exchange cross stitch patterns, or I could send her my latest chutney recipe (that bit isn't a joke - I have been struck by some strange urge to make preserves). I have a long history of penpal-ship, as was one of *those* children that felt the need to write to join pen pal clubs and write to complete strangers; the old-fashioned email forum and chatroom I suppose. Maybe I am still famous for my terribly witty letters, or my old Hungarian penpal (Ester Erdodi) has waxed lyrical about the day I wrote her a poem for her birthday and sent her a chain made of something that made *my* neck green (as she was a peasant, I thought she might not notice... :-)
I notice that she has been single for some time - maybe she just wants some relationship hints?!...
